Canadian International Post Draw to Stream Wednesday

TORONTO, September 29, 2026 – Woodbine Racetrack is set to live stream the post-position draw for the historic Canadian International (G1T) on Wednesday afternoon at 12 p.m. ET.

The Canadian International, first contested in 1938, is Canada's oldest international Thoroughbred race and is contested at 1½-mile distance over the renowned E.P. Taylor Turf Course.

This year marks the 86th running of the Grade 1 Canadian International, which is set to highlight Saturday’s (October 3) Fall Turf Showcase race card. A total of four graded stakes on turf are scheduled, with the Grade 2 Nearctic (Presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance), Grade 2 bet365 Dance Smartly Stakes and Grade 3 bet365 Algonquin Stakes joining the International.

The Canadian International draw will be streamed on Woodbine’s YouTube channel, as connections and racing fans will find out live the starting spots for the Grade 1 race. The result of the post-position draws for Saturday’s three other graded stakes will also be revealed.

Racing analyst Jeff Bratt and track announcer Robert Geller will host Wednesday’s stream.

The purse for the Canadian International is $750,000, plus up to $150,000 for eligible Ontario breds.
