Canadian Trotting Classic & Elegantimage straight to finals

MILTON, September 9, 2025 – Woodbine Mohawk Park’s Race Office has released entry details for this weekend’s stakes events.

The entry box closed Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. for several marquee races, including the Metro Pace (G1), Canadian Trotting Classic (G1), Shes A Great Lady (G1) and Elegantimage (G1).

The Metro Pace (2-Year-Old Pace) and Shes A Great Lady (2-Year-Old Filly Pace) each received 12 entries, which sets up a pair of eliminations for both events this Saturday.

The Canadian Trotting Classic (3-Year-Old Trot) and Elegantimage (3-Year-Old Filly Trot) will each go straight to their respective finals. The Canadian Trotting Classic received 10 entrants, while the Elegantimage received 11.

The Canadian Trotting Classic and Elegantimage finals will be held on Saturday, September 20 as part of the rich card featuring the $1 million Mohawk Million and $1 million Metro Pace.

The draws for this weekend’s eliminations will be released later this afternoon.
