Details announced for 2025 Mohawk Million

MILTON, January 13, 2025— Woodbine Entertainment is now accepting entries to purchase a slot in the 2025 Mohawk Million (G1).

Following significant interest in 2024, Woodbine has kept the price of purchasing a slot in the Mohawk Million at $50,000. A total of 10 slots will again be available and Woodbine will add $500,000 to maintain the $1 million purse.

The Mohawk Million for two-year-old trotters is scheduled for Saturday, September 20 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

The deadline to purchase a slot for the Mohawk Million is Tuesday, February 18. The interested parties must submit $25,000 by that date. The remaining $25,000 of the slot fee is then due by June 2.

Should more than 10 parties submit to purchase a slot, a draw will be held to determine the 10 slot owners. Each slot is an entity that may be sold, traded or leased. Slot owners must declare a horse to race in their slot by Monday, September 15 at Noon.

The lone change to conditions for 2025 is limiting owners & trainers to declaring a maximum of the 3 horses to the Mohawk Million race.

Any interested parties or those seeking more information on the Mohawk Million can contact Bill McLinchey, Vice-President of Standardbred Racing, at bmclinchey@woodbine.com.
