Fashion Frenzie matches Track and Canadian Record

MILTON, June 16, 2025 - Fashion Frenzie became the co-fastest trotter in Canadian harness racing history on Monday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Shooting up the inside to win the $36,000 Preferred trot, Fashion Frenzie stopped the clock in 1:50.2 to match the all-age Mohawk and Canadian record for driver Louis-Philippe Roy and trainer Eric Nadeau.

It was the second time in three nights that the all-age record was matched, as Emoticon Legacy also trotted 1:50.2 in Saturday’s Goodtimes Stakes for three-year-olds.

Osceola cut the mile on Monday, posting fractions of :26.4, :55.3 and 1:23.2. Fashion Frenzie enjoyed a two-hole trip, while 3/5 favourite Gaines Hanover sat fourth throughout.

In the stretch, the rail would open up and Fashion Frenzie powered through late to win by three-quarters of a length over Osceola. Gaines Hanover got up for third, beat just over a length. Sid The Kid was fourth.

A seven-year-old son of Archangel, Fashion Frenzie picked up his first win since March 17 and his third win in seven starts this season. The latest victory gives him 30 career scores and lowers his career mark by two-fifths of a second.

A career winner of over $1.3 million, Fashion Frenzie is owned by Ecurie Francis Richard Inc, Gestion Mario Bourgea Inc, Pierre Guillemette and Sylvain Richard.

Fashion Frenzie joins Emoticon Legacy, Gaines Hanover, Alrajah One IT and Atlanta as the co-fastest trotters in Canadian racing.

A $2 win ticket on Fashion Frenzie returned $25.70.

Live racing resumes Thursday evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Post time is 6:35 p.m.
