Fev Rover moves to the top in Ladies of the Lawn Series

TORONTO, August 23, 2022 – On the heels of Sunday’s Grade 2 Canadian Stakes, Woodbine has released the updated standings for the Ladies of the Lawn Series.

Fev Rover (IRE) captured Sunday’s Grade 2 Canadian Stakes in a thrilling photo finish over Crystal Cliffs (FR). The victory launches the Mark Casse trained Fev Rover (IRE) to the top of the standings with just the Grade 1 E.P. Taylor Stakes (October 8) remaining in the series.

Wakanaka (IRE), who won the opening leg of the series (Grade 2 Dance Smartly), did not race in Sunday’s Canadian.

The horse that accumulates the most points over the series will earn a $50,000 bonus for its connections. Points are awarded 10-7-5-3-2 through the top-five finishers. Horses finishing sixth through last receive one point.

The Grade 1 E.P. Taylor is scheduled for Saturday, October 8.
