INVITE: King's Plate Post Position Draw and Breakfast set for Tuesday, August 11

TORONTO, July 30, 2026— Members of the media are invited to attend The King's Plate Post Position Draw and Breakfast on Tuesday, August 11.

The Post Position Draw and Breakfast will be held in Woodbine Racetrack’s grandstand, on the rooftop of the paddock overlooking the walking ring. Guests and Media are asked to arrive by 9:30 a.m. and enter through Gate 10.

This year's King's Plate Post Position Draw will return to the "Pick Your Post Position" format. Rather than each horse being randomly assigned a post position, an initial draw will determine the order in which each horse's connections will select their post. Beginning with the first name drawn, connections will take turns choosing from the remaining available post positions until the field is complete.

The second portion of the draw will be live streamed on the Woodbine website, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Participants (owners, trainers, jockeys) in this year’s race and Woodbine Executives will be available to speak with media following the draw in the walking ring, where select Plate horses will also be present.

Please RSVP to Grace Martin: gmartin@woodbine.com
