Metro Pace Final set for Mohawk Million Night
Post draws to be held Monday evening
MILTON, September 20, 2026 – The field for the $1 million Metro Pace (G1) is set following Saturday night’s eliminations at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
The $1 million Metro joins the $1 million Mohawk Million (G1) as part of next Saturday’s all-star card. A total of five Grade 1 races are part of the Mohawk Million card.
Shalom Hanover captured his elimination by 4 ½ lengths in 1:49.4 and now follows the path of his stablemate Beau Jangles by entering the Metro Pace final with an undefeated record. The Dr. Ian Moore trainee is seven for seven with $452,891 earned.

Th Theo, Cattletracks, Rose Run Cowboy and L A Captain finished in the top five behind Shalom Hanover to advance to the final.
Ron Burke trained Eastie Boy and driver Ronnie Wrenn cruised to victory in 1:52 to take the other elimination and will now get another crack at the division’s top colt. Eastie Boy was third behind Shalom Hanover in the September 7th Pennsylvania Sires Stakes final.
A son of Sweet Lou, Eastie Boy has three wins, six top three finishes and $247,653 earned in eight starts for owners Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, Phil Collura.
Global Choice, Big D Energy, Vainqueur and High Rise Hanover competed again Eastie Boy to advance to the $1 million final.
By winning their eliminations, Shalom Hanover and Eastie Boy have secured a post position anywhere from two through six for the final.
The Metro Pace draw will take place alongside the Mohawk Million draw on Monday evening at 5:45 p.m. during the Woodbine Mohawk Park simulcast pre-game show.
Next Saturday’s all-star card features the $1 million Mohawk Million (G1), $1 million Metro Pace (G1), $590,000 Canadian Trotting Classic (G1), $510,000 Shes A Great Lady (G1) and $400,000 Elegantimage (G1).
