“There were definitely some highlights last year. Fashionably Fab winning three stakes stands out. Velocitor winning the Prince of Wales was a big moment for our barn too. Then, you have Moira winning the Canadian - her record speaks for itself - and others like Love to Shop, Airosa, Pipit, War Painter, Rosa, Tripolina and Inudation.”

“It’s great to see some of them as Sovereign finalists. I know how much it means to the owners, and everyone connected to them.”

“I think, like the start of any year, you want to get off to a good start and then carry that momentum throughout the season.”

“The goal is to always improve on the past year, but aside from good horses, you need some racing luck too.”

“It does sound cliche, but as you go along in racing, you learn to stay within the moment, to not look too far ahead.”

“That said, you do have that excitement about young horses starting to develop and older horses coming back a year stronger and more mature.”
