No eliminations for Canadian Trotting Classic, Shes A Great Lady

MILTON, September 15, 2026 – A busy slate of stakes action is now set for over the next two weekends at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

The entry box closed Tuesday morning for a quartet of Grade 1 races - Metro Pace, Canadian Trotting Classic, Shes A Great Lady and Elegantimage.

The Canadian Trotting Classic for three-year-old trotters and the Shes A Great Lady for two-year-old filly pacers will not need eliminations this weekend. The Canadian Trotting Classic received eight entrants, while the Shes A Great Lady attracted a group of 11.

The Metro Pace (G1) for two-year-old pacers will have a pair of six-horse eliminations this Saturday evening. The top five finishers from each will advance to the $1 million final on Saturday, September 26.

The Elegantimage (G1) for three-year-old filly trotters will have eliminations this Friday. A pair of nine-horse eliminations have been drawn. Top five from each split will advance to the $400,000 final on Saturday, September 26.
