OLG Returns as Presenting Sponsor of 2025 Canadian Triple Crown

TORONTO, June 3, 2025 – Woodbine Entertainment today announced the return of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) as the presenting sponsor of the 2025 Canadian Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to horse racing and the communities it supports across Ontario.
The Canadian Triple Crown, one of the most prestigious series in North American Thoroughbred racing, includes the King’s Plate at Woodbine Racetrack, the Prince of Wales Stakes at Fort Erie Race Track, and the Breeders’ Stakes back at Woodbine. The 2025 season marks another exciting chapter in this uniquely Canadian series, notable as the only Triple Crown in North America contested on three different racing surfaces: Tapeta, dirt, and turf.

The 2025 OLG Canadian Triple Crown will begin with the King’s Plate on Saturday, August 16, followed by the Prince of Wales Stakes on Tuesday, September 9, and will conclude with the Breeders’ Stakes on Sunday, September 28.
