Slots filled for 2022 Mohawk Million

Third edition of Million-Dollar event to be held Saturday, September 24 at Woodbine Mohawk Park

MILTON, February 16, 2022 – Woodbine Entertainment today announced that all slots for 2022 Mohawk Million have been sold and the $1 million race for two-year-old trotters will be contested on Saturday, September 24 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

The deadline to submit a purchase agreement for the Mohawk Million was Tuesday (February 15).

Woodbine received purchase agreements from nine different groups or individuals to participate in this year’s race. A $50,000 (CAD) payment was required with the purchase agreement and all slot purchasers will now have until June 1 to submit the remaining $50,000 (CAD) of the $100,000 slot fee.

The slot owners will be revealed by the end of the month once all stake payments from the February 15 closing have been received and processed.

The tenth and final slot in the Mohawk Million will be awarded to the winner of the William Wellwood Memorial, which is scheduled for Saturday, August 27.
