Wellwood and Peaceful Way Consolations Offered
MILTON, August 14, 2023 – With the entry box for the William Wellwood Memorial and Peaceful Way set to close Tuesday morning, Woodbine has announced $50,000 consolations will be offered for both two-year-old trot events.
The eliminations for the Wellwood and Peaceful Way will take place this Saturday (August 19) followed by the rich finals on August 26. Should enough horses enter, the $50,000 consolations will also take place on August 26.
The William Wellwood for two-year-old trotters has an estimated final purse of $640,000 and offers a free slot in the Mohawk Million to the winner. The Peaceful Way for two-year-old filly trotters has an estimated final purse of $400,000.
The entry box for both events closes Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m.
