Woodbine Mohawk Park issues update on Qualifiers and Live Racing

MILTON, June 8, 2023 – Woodbine Entertainment would like to advise all racing participants and customers that two-year-olds qualifiers scheduled for Friday morning at Woodbine Mohawk Park will proceed, starting one hour earlier at 9 a.m.

The 9 a.m. start time is in place to take advantage of the air quality forecasted for the mornings, which is categorized as ‘moderate-risk’ by Environment Canada. Tonight’s forecast for Milton, Ontario is still forecasting ‘high-risk’ air quality and live racing remains cancelled.

These decisions are consistent with the advice Woodbine has received from veterinarians, medical practitioners and other racing officials including the AGCO who distributed Air Quality Guidelines yesterday.

A decision on Friday evening’s live racing card will be made by Noon on Friday.

The situation remains very fluid, and Woodbine will continue to keep all participants informed of the decisions in a timely manner.
