Woodbine officially adds Waples to Broadcast Team

MILTON, December 12, 2022 – Woodbine Entertainment today announced the addition of Hall of Fame driver Randy Waples as a full-time on-air Racing Analyst.

Waples, who was part of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame class of 2021, has driven the winners of 6,645 races and $131 million. Waples has won many of Woodbine’s marquee Standardbred races, including the Pepsi North America Cup (2012), Maple Leaf Trot (2009, 2010, 2011), Canadian Pacing Derby (1997, 2015) and Metro Pace (2015). 

Known as one of racing’s most colourful personalities on and off the track, Waples had made guest appearances on Woodbine Mohawk Park’s simulcast show over the last two seasons to great reviews.   

Waples officially joins the Woodbine Broadcast Team as of tonight (December 12, 2022).
